Artist's Reception to be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2017  5:30 – 7:00 pm

The word RED, and the color RED invoke intense responses in most people. We
have chosen this theme to inspire your artistic interpretation of RED.
The color red stands out. It is used to get our attention. It can be emotional. It is so
much more than just a color. Here are just a few common phrases using red:
● Red carpet treatment
● Caught red-handed
● Seeing red
● Red flag
● Red letter day
● Red tape
● In the red
● Paint the town red
Red is the highest arc of the rainbow.
Red is the first color you lose sight of at twilight.
The longest wavelength of light is red.
Without limits, boundaries or borders, we encourage artists to explore RED!

How would you create a vision of Oregon. Would it be on a trail deep in the old growth forests, walking down the busy sidewalks of Downtown Portland, feeling the sand between your toes on our beautiful beaches or sliding down the mountains of snow?

I will be exhibiting 4 paintings in the show. The show will also include works from other Oregon artists in a wide range of media (for example, painting, mixed media, photography, digital art, sculpture, jewelry, pottery, and other 3D works.)
